Week 13 - The Craft Barn Quotes & Lyrics Challenge

With the completion of Week 13 we are at the half way mark of the Craft Barn Quotes & Lyrics Challenge. Since each Challenge "week" lasts a fortnight (!), I've actually been post-carding for twenty-six weeks. Six very short months. The last half-year has passed so quickly, it doesn't bode for the next ...........it will be Christmas again before I know it!

This time around, the two words given were "path" and "horizon". It was certainly easier to find lyrics and quotations for these two words than those given to us in challenge 12.

I have used words from the Circle of Life but there's not a lion in sight on my postcard. The background was brayered using Fresco paints. The main stamp was one of several I found in a local charity shop (bargains!).

Love your background on your first card and the stamp is a great find. I didn't see the quote from your second postcard before and I think it's both true and profound. Can't believe you fussy cut all these birds!

I never would have thought about that circle of life senerio, but it makes sense. I like the birds postcard, and I like the quote, since the birds seem to be finding their own way. Great art and great artwork! Love both of these.

Two great quotes and postcards. Beautiful backgrounds. I always love a good bargain too and don't mention how fast the year is whizzing by - it might just go faster.

Beautiful works Maggie. Do you send all your postcards through snailmail, or do you collect them?
Thank you for your kind comment on my blog. I hope to see your next postcard with some chalks on :o)

Two beautiful postcards Maggie and what a beautiful bargain stamp on the first card. Love the Circle of Life quote and gorgeous colours too.
You must have patience to carefully cut out all those birds! Love the way you have done the sky and that is a fab quote too. xx
