It's finally been pulled out of the bag - the letter X in the Craft Barn Alpha/Dictionary Challenge. There is so little choice. For the previous Alpha Challenge in 2013 I used xenogamy (cross pollination) and didn't want to do a repeat of that word, so I dipped into the dictionary and come up with xerophyte which is a plant that needs very little water.
I don't have a cacti stamp in my collection but I found a picture on line which I printed off (I hope this isn't considered cheating!) and coloured it with Distress inks. I stamped the birds in flight and added the computer generated dictionary definition.

I dipped in Botanicals for my X word too... it's just the way it is! Your image is lovely and it might feel like cheating because it's not hand stamped and you're a stamper but, no, nothing wrong with that!
I went for botanical as well, saved by science! Lovely use of the Distress Ink,you can almost feel the searing heat and sun bleached desert xx
This is a lovely desert scene and a great interpretation for your choice of "X" word.
Fabulous desert scene for that dreaded X word!! Perfect definition.
I love the image you have used and no way is it cheating. I used Xerophyte for the last dictionary challenge a few years ago. these challenges are nothing if not educational!
Gosh, Maggie. If copying images from the internet is wrong, then I should have been kicked out of this challenge a LONG time ago. Especially since I'm NOT a stamper. I love your depiction and I love the new word I just learned, too!
Fabtastic word and I love your desert scene. Hugz
Great word choice! And a lovely page xx
A great word to use on your lovely page. I think the image is just right, and your colouring is fab.
Love the card and the new X word. Thank you for joining in the Craft Barn Alpha challenge xx
