For this year's challenge I am making postcards and am already finding that a challenge in itself having to keep things 2 dimensional.
For my song lyric postcard I used Lumière Pearl Blue for the night sky. I stamped a circle of white card with Versamark and then poured on Sticky Stuff embossing powder which for some reason left a bobbly surface when heated. Not what I had intended but I rather like the texture. I then applied a silver Tonertex foil with a 'spilt petrol' effect to the sticky stuff. Sadly, my scan hasn't picked up the sheen of the Lumière paint or the dazzle of the moon.

For the background of my quote postcard I applied Fresco Paints and then stamped the diamond pattern in Archival ink before applying a coat of pearl paint. The music came from a childhood recorder book of mine that I found when clearing my mother's house. Not sure why she still had it, she couldn't play the instrument!
I inked and then dripped some water on the music score for an aged look and at last I found a use for the treble clef die I bought some time ago for a bargain price.

Visiting from The Craft Barn - FABulous!! I must say the Silence one is my favourite. That background is just awesome! :o)
Love both your postcards Maggie; funny what things we hoard! I can send you a recorder if you like :) Have two here that our daughters left behind!

Another two brilliant postcards! The Dazzle one is quite ingenious, and I love that bold, clear music for the Silence one. Perhaps your Mum knew you'd need it one day!
Love them both Maggie, I had trouble finding suitable quotes, and then trouble finding time - so none from me this time!
