Goodness! The week 5 Craft Barn Quotes & Lyrics Challenge Wall of Fame last week was a very surprising accolade. There wont be any prizes for this weeks endeavours - what was in my head just would not translate onto my postcards. The sentence "it's all about the process not the product" from my pre-retiremnet days working in a pre-school come very much to mind.
The given words for week 6 of the challenge were" flower" and "travel". As in previous weeks I have made two postcards - one lyric and one quote You are allowed to use plurals so for my lyric I transported myself back to 1967, the very start of my twenties and Scott Mckenzie's "San Francisco" (be sure to wear some flowers in your hair). I wasn't sure whether this image, which I stamped with purple ink, really suited the background and flowers but then I had one of those light bulb moments as I tackled the pile of ironing - purple haze! I'm sure there was plenty of that around San Francisco in the sixties.
My photo doesn't show the full brightness of the piece.

Very different pages, I have a preference for the second one with its lovely stamped images.
Great minds Maggie on the song lyrics! Though there are a few others using the same song too. I was all of 11 yo when this song was in the charts so do remember it especially on my little radio whilst trying to listen to Radio Luxemburg as it faded in and out :)
I love your flower power/purple haze postcard, you have captured the essence of the period exactly.
I also love the travel postcard and such nice handwriting too, I do like that quote but not sure I agree with Augustine of Hippo entirely!!

Love them. xx
Love the contrast between your two arty creations! You have truly captured flower power in your first, and in the second a true shabby chic piece of art gorgeous x
the background of the travel quote is great. The first one is very colorful, very sixties hippies, i would have taken another image, something bright also.
