Week 11 - The Craft Barn Quotes & Lyrics Challenge

Following a busy couple of weeks, I'm skidding in on the seat of virtual pants to join week 11 of the Craft Barn Quotes & Lyrics Challenge. This week's given words were "mistake" and "mountain". If you want to read up on the challenge all the details are here.

Last weekend I met up with friends from the Cardmaking Paradise forum at the Craft Barn Extravaganza and what a fabulous time we had. Thank you to Sandy and her staff for all the hard work they put into staging the event. I, of course, had to do a bit of spending while I was there - it would have been very rude not to. The "Build a Meadow" plate from Crafty Individuals has been on my wish list for awhile so having watched Helen Chiltern using it in a demo, I hot-footed to the shop cash at the ready. Today seemed a good time to give its first outing on my quotation postcard. I need a lot more practise to reach Helen's standard but we all have to start somewhere! As I had very little time I just used Dylusions sprays for a quick background.

Sadly I didn't see Helen with the CI stamps as I went on the Saturday, but your version looks good to me! Love the quote too, it's got that little bit of humour in it! Very good mountains on your second postcard.

Another two fabulous postcards Maggie, love the way you have used the meadow flowers and the background colour. The mountain one is very clever :)

I'm always impressed that you make two postcards for each challenge. They are both awesome, and that new stamp was the perfect addition to the quote.

Yep, I'd never heard of this song, but it didn't take much to see how the mountain and the stars fit in. Both of these are fantastic.

I missed Helen's Sunday demos but managed to be tempted by the gelatos on Saturday. I didn't realise you were part of Sara's group. I like both your PCs.

Due to computer problems, I've only just found this wonderful "Reach for the Stars" postcard. You have really excelled yourself with this one Maggie. It's so beautiful, quite inspired!
